Review of East of Eden (1955) by Ben F — 23 Feb 2009
I first saw this film about 5 years ago when I was in my late teens. I immediately connected with James Dean, who gives one of the greatest performances I've ever seen. He embodies the pains of isolation.
His struggle to connect with his family and those around him is one of the best things ever filmed.
