Review of East of Eden (1955) by Joon W — 12 Aug 2011
Barely serviceable barebones altered version of the Steinbeck novel. Key plot points are altered. Character relations are flat. No Lee and the Hamilton family, which means that the only character that represents good in the older generation is Adam, and he doesn't act in a noble fashion; his costume design seems off-putting.
James Dean is way too old to play this role. He reminds me of Stewie from mad-tv.
