Review of East of Eden (1955) by Four Star F — 05 Feb 2013
One of my top favourites. A truly great film from Elia Kazan, which I believe had James Dean's best performance (although I'm yet to see ''Giant''). He could play a rebel/misunderstood teenager like no other.
Based on the self-titled novel by the great Nobel Prize winner John Steinbeck (which is also loosely based on the Cain/Abel biblical storyline). Poignant, timeless stuff. Highly recommended.
