Review of East Is East (1999) by Simon F — 08 Jan 2009

So much fun, but works as a drama as well with repatriation agenda in the backgroundl. I trust it was a great representation of an Asian family, with all difficulties linked to arranged marriages emphasized, but also it shows the authority of "the man of the house", double standards and how damaging they can be on individual members of the family.

What a great movie!
