Review of Easier with Practice (2009) by Jason Y — 21 May 2010
Easier With Practice is a terrific debut film from writer-director Alvarez. I can't believe this guy is only 25 years old. He made a film with the insight and technique of a storyteller and filmmaker who has been doing it for twice as long.
This film is a slow burner with a great lead performance that, if you let it, gets under your skin, and you can really feel and believe the emotions of every single character. I really can't wait for this guy's next film.
