A stupid yet watchable rip-off.
Earth vs the Spider is a remake of the 1958 B-movie of the same name. While watching this film I got many deja vu moments, and it wasn't until a certain phase in the metamorphosis that it dawned on me. This remake was ripping off another remake. The 1986 remake of the 1958 classic, the Fly. These remakes are just so similar. The metamorphosis, the realization that they're monsters, and the sacrificial finale. Even though there is nothing original about it, this movie is still watchable. Just make sure you turn your IQ down before watching this remake. Earth vs The Spider gets a 6 out of 10.
