It hearkens back to 'E.T.' and 'Super 8'.
Those films are far superior but 'Earth to Echo' is still a neat kids' tale about childhood, moving on and saying goodbye.
The best of friendships mean more than distance no matter where you are in the universe.
4 friends discover a robotic alien that crash-landed on Earth and now they have to help him get back home before the authorities take matters into their own hands.
These child actors aren't big names but they carry the movie the best they can.
The found-footage element blends in almost perfectly with the real world.
This film is very, very short but if you're a small kid you're gonna eat it up like clockwork.
