Review of Eagle vs Shark (2007) by Pete M — 26 Feb 2009
Despite the presence of Flight of the Conchords' Jermaine Clement, this is a very disappointing film, that so wants to be the Kiwi Napoleon Dynamite that it's almost painful to watch.
It has a promising start, and the animations and style of the film are endearing, but deep down Clement's character is so unlikable that you find yourself hoping the film's burgeoning romance doesn't actually happen and the central female character sees more sense than she ultimately does.
