Review of Eagle vs Shark (2007) by Edward H — 23 Sep 2009
Had to see it cuz Jamine [eagle] from FOTC starred... the sad is his character was kind of a jerk and a stupid one at that, and there were only a few "Jamine-isms" :( but I did learn a New Zealand-er insult.
Lilly [shark] seems to be the only interesting character and is the only reason the film is bearable to watch. There are few funny bits [like redecorating Mortal Kobat to avoid a law suit], but it mostly drags comically, and it seems that the song playing in the background should be "hurt feelings" by FOTC, odd for a "romantic comedy.
" Still a good movie just not quite what I expected as it feels more like Napoleon Dynamite than anything else.
