Review of Eagle vs Shark (2007) by Mitchell B — 22 Jan 2010
I thought to my self "I shall watch this film, but only because of Jemaine Clement".
He is a very funny actor, who is amazing in "Flight Of The Conchords". But this is one good film.
Feels like napoleon dynamite, but more relys on the jokes then the acutal peformance.
I always thought I would not help but think "Thats Jemaine!" but you forget about that almost from the beginning, proud moment.
I'm not really into Rom Coms, but this was a good film, that made me laugh and got me hooked to my seat.
Both great peformances from Jemaine and Loren, made this film great.
Never did I think that I will watch a film financed by the New Zealand Film Commission, yet it has.
The story was a strong one, and a funny one with credits towards Taika Waititi and Loren Horsley, for building good characters and making it a good film to watch.
Suprisingly good, 4/5.
