A commendable effort at what it's trying to do, however it's unfortunate that it can't escape being compared to Napoleon Dynamite - which is far superior in almost every aspect. Jemaine Clement provides moments of absolute hilarity, but there just wasn't enough strong comedy to support the attemptedly more meaningful story that required longer drawn out scenes.
Quite enjoyable, and love the accents, but not overly great. Watch Napoleon Dynamite first.
