Review of Eagle vs Shark (2007) by Holly D — 27 Jan 2009
Eagle vs Shark is the story of Lilly and Jarrod, two misfits both awkward in their own ways. They meet at a burger joint and fall in love over a video game. It focuses on life's relationships - family, past ghosts, and perplexing love.
This film reminded me a lot of Napoleon Dynamite, only not quite as funny. I did think the chemistry between Loren Horsley and Jemaine Clement was nice. They both played the kind of bumbling all thumbs roll well. I enjoyed that the family was sort of the wacky dysfunctional family, that everyone can relate with a little bit.
I would say that Eagle vs Shark was a good film. A quirky romantic comedy that is surely worth a look.
