Review of Eagle Eye (2008) by Warren S — 12 Dec 2011
Upon seeing the trailers for this movie I thought a new milestone had been reached in cinema. I though Hollywood had officially made the worst movie of all time. Then one day, years later, I was studying for a test and it came on TV.
I figured this movie would be perfect to study to because it would be so easy to ignore. Man was I shocked at how engrossed I was with Eagle Eye. Between my extremely low expectations, and realization that the script for this movie (with minor modifications) could have been made into an superior version of Terminator III: Rise of the machines, I was blown away.
This is what it must feel like when statistical possibility beats probability. Before I saw this movie, I never saw giving a monkey a typewriter and getting back Shakespeare as anything other than a joke.
Not to say that this movie is Shakespeare, rather that extremely improbable events, such as this movie being good, are capable of happening.
