Review of Eagle Eye (2008) by Kunal S — 13 Dec 2011

Gotta say - I was expecting this to be terrible based on all the negative responses I was reading online but it's really not that bad, people. It had a Michael Bay aura to it, which might detract some people but I personally can appreciate big dumb fun every once in a while.

Also the "twist" isn't much of a twist as it's revealed like halfway through the movie. Was the concept ultimately far fetched? Sure. But I look at Eagle Eye as being more of a modern sci-fi flick as opposed to a grounded action movie.

In that sense, it works. All in all, DJ Caruso and Shia have earned some good will from me with their previous effort, Disturbia ,and now this. Worth a watch.
