Review of Eagle Eye (2008) by Geoff T — 27 Feb 2012
Eagle Eye is a bit of fun after a nice long day of work, school, life or family. Its one of those movies that you can just kick back in your chair, feet up in the air and enjoy the action, sequences, and sheer fun of a nice action thriller. The action and drama sequences are fun and refreshing and while they aren't ultimately new, they are fresh in the way they feel.
While I really like both Shia and Michelle I feel as though their performances were mired by some poor scripture and some lost chances at making the best out of the story. Now don't get me wrong, I had a ton of fun watching this a few times but I feel like they lost a ton of opportunities to expand on personal character stories, sub-plots and the main plot itself.
I know this review is shorter than my usual ones. There just isn't much to say about the movie other than the fact that it is in fact fun but it lacks in so many other fields that it just gets shot down every time it flies ahead.
Watch the movie if you've got some spare time, 2) are a fan of Shia or Michelle, or 3) enjoy some good sci-fi type action and thrillers.
