Review of Eagle Eye (2008) by Richard R — 29 Jun 2014
The film is exciting for all intents and purposes, it's a slick and effective thriller with a message embedded in it of the dangers of over-surveillance. The central villain is quite menacing, Shia LaBouef does an impressive job holding up the majority of the story and the supporting characters have some interesting qualities of their own.
The only problem with the movie is that it's just that - interesting and effective - but not ground-breaking or amazing. It's not got too much warmth or humour, just some good special effects and a serviceable story.
