Review of Eagle Eye (2008) by Seth S — 13 Jul 2012
Worthy of neither hatred or praise. Eagle Eye is a decent action movie. It has an interesting story, and some good acting.
The story is of Jerry Shaw. His brother worked for the government, and now he's dead. Out of the blue, a computer starts controlling what Jerry, and a single mom named Rachel Holloman do. It tells them what to do over the phone, on electronic billboards, and TVs. Now Jerry and Rachel must figure out what the computer wants with them, and why Jerry's brother and Rachel's son are important to the computer.
Shia LaBeouf stars as Jerry Shaw. He can't seem to get away from these haywire robot/computer movies. But he does very well with Jerry, and makes you care about him. Michelle Monaghan plays Rachel. She is such a good actress. Highly underrated. Billy Bob Thornton and Rosario Dawson play F.B.I. agents. They are both solid, but not anything special.
Overall, this is OK. Can't complain, because it is exactly what you'd expect.
"None of this is mine!" 6.5/10.
