Review of Eagle Eye (2008) by Tyler R — 18 Sep 2012
I am one of those people who don't mind Shia Labeouf. I think that hes a good actor given the right material. Eagle Eye is an example of right material for him. An action/sci-fi film with a pretty neat twist at the end.
The plot is somewhat basic: A man gets a call from a mysterious woman giving him explicit directions and minute by minute plays on what is happening, and along the way he meets a woman who is also experiencing the same thing.
Its a solid movie all the way through, with pretty decent performances from the main cast. The action is pretty solid, and sometimes the story suffers for it. My biggest complaint about this film are the large leaps and bounds the plot takes to get over the holes.
This is a film where, if you watch it too much too often, you'll start to pick up on more and more problems with the plot. Its a very fun film, though, and in my book, that is a good thing.
