Review of Dylan Dog: Dead of Night (2011) by Luca P — 18 Mar 2011
This movie is quite bad. But not as bad as I thought. I am a big fan of the comic and Munroe does get something right. The sidekick Groucho isn't there (copyright problems) but Marcus is a nice characther and also the movie has some of the humour of the comic, some of the perspective.
I though it was going to be far worse. The real problems are a weak screenplay that doesn't really know where to go and is confusing at times, and the casting. Brandon Routh is completely off role, awkward in every single scene.
It's probably the worst casting I have ever seen. With a better actor for the main charachter this movie could have been at least decent.
