Review of Dylan Dog: Dead of Night (2011) by Shaun C — 30 Apr 2011
The only good thing about this movie (aside from its premise, which is awesome) is Sam Huntington (who is also spectacularly funny in the US version of "Being Human"); both Routh and Briem's characters come off as little more than cardboard.
There isn't even any chemistry between them! The plot itself meanders along not unconfusingly but is certainly predictable; lines are corny and delivered without much interest. Ye old stereotypes about vampires and werewolves abound, though there was something fresh in the way zombies were treated (and yes, that is a pun).
Peter Stormare chews the scenery and he's always fun to toss into a film, but for the most part, this one's a rental at best.
