Review of Dylan Dog: Dead of Night (2011) by Nikola O — 05 Aug 2011
I was cursed in a way by being a fan of the comic book when I was a kid. So there was no way for me to enjoy the film. They have cut out some of the more interesting things (like Marx who gets his honorable mention twice in the movie) and they have tried to put toghether an orignial story that falls flat with all the vampire/werewolf movies and books contaminating stores and theatres right now. There are a few deus ex machina moments which shouldn't happen and even though I didn't find the movie boring I didn't find it interesting either.
What did work was Brandon Routh. He wore that red shirt perfectly and if there was ever someone who would make a "real" Dylan Dog I think Mr.Routh is perfect for the part.
