Review of Dylan Dog: Dead of Night (2011) by Cory W — 14 Dec 2011
The best thing I can say about this movie is that it was enjoyable enough to watch in its entirety. The lighting and special effects were all standard fare for this type of movie. The setting and scenes were nice but nothing to write home about.
The acting and writing was beyond cheesy, with characters that were as flat as Iowa. I love cheesy detective stories, when a few of the more serious quotes make you chuckle, but several lines in this movie left me squirming and hoping for that next action scene to take me away from all of the awkward conversations.
Luckily, Sam Huntington and Taye Diggs both filled their roles nicely and helped some of the conversations go by more smoothly. Overall, I am pleased that I spent a dollar renting this movie, even if it didn't entertain me enough to watch it again.
