Review of Dying Young (1991) by Edmund C — 19 Jun 2009
Julia Roberts plays her typical character (a woman searching for love in all the wrong places), and Campbell Scott gives a not so convincing portrayal of a man who wants to die. Overall, the film centers around a physical relationship that hopes to be something more, but it never quite takes off.
The ending was confusing, and the plot points seemed pushed, or maybe just a little outrageous. Still, there are some unique and interesting concepts, shots, and scenes that drive the movie forward, compelling one to finish the movie.
