Review of D.W. Griffith: Father of Film (1993) by Victor L — 11 Sep 2011
This is one of the most significant documentaries ever made on a Hollywood artist, it's interesting, the interviews are invaluable, the review on Griffith's career is very profound and complete, it isn't boring at all despite it's 2 and a half hours long.
You end up admiring this man for his art and vision of industry, racism is not admirable, of course but that shouldn't decrease merits to his many contributions and qualities. This man was the master that made american movies the #1 across the world.
