Review of Dutch (1991) by Jason C — 11 Jun 2010
This is a cute movie about Ed O'Neil a working class man who drives to Atlanta to pick up his girlfriend's rich spoiled son (Ethan Embry) from his boarding school and brings him home for the holidays.
At first the guys are not getting along, but they get into some trouble along the way and become closer.
This movie is funny and heartwarming. Some of the scenes were filmed here in Chattanooga (going across the Tennessee River and a neighborhood) and a little town called Jasper (Fireworks store). He makes a remark about the Cumberland mountains being beautiful when the boy looks out the car window all he sees is darkness.
You can see this on HBO or Cinemax this month I can't remember which one. It's worth watching.
