Yes it's a formula driven family comedy. You know exactly where it's going from the start and it feels like a sappy John Hughes movie(i know he wrote it, you know what I mean) But Ed O'Neil is a comic genius as far as i'm concerned. I loved this movie as a kid and still to this day it makes me laugh.
"I don't care for caviar, I make it a policy never to eat something a fish deposits in a riverbed. ".
