Review of Duplicity (2009) by Thérèse A — 22 Feb 2010
Comparisons to Mr. and Mrs. Smith abound, but this picture stands on its own. While the former film focused on the action, writer-director Tony Gilroy keeps the center on his characters and dialogue. This is where Duplicity is at its best, especially in the banter between Clive Owen and Julia Roberts.
In the end, the film is nothing special, but the two leads shine in their roles. The only flaw is overlength. It could've been tightened a little bit.
