Review of Duplicity (2009) by Rnel A — 07 Mar 2010
Flashy, confusing and pretty enjoyable.
Tony Gilroy moves from the excellent Michael Clayton to this lighter material which places a huge amount of reliance upon it's cast who are admittedly on good form.
The film looks beautiful and the globe trotting that goes on is insanely unrealistic but it is easy to ignore the many implausibilities. Clive and Julie are fine but it is Tom Wilkinson and Paul Giamatti who steal the show whenever they are on screen as the corporate honchos at the centre of the scam.
Totally unbeleivable but it is undeniably fun to watch...
