Review of Duplicity (2009) by Frank N — 21 May 2010
Two former spies, their relationship, and how they try to double cross their employers. Gilroy tries to duplicate some of the tricks he performed in his prior movie, Michael Clayton, and tried to add a romantic-comedy-twist.
Perhaps that's why he called this one Duplicity. Unfortunately it doesn't live up to that movie in any respect. Not very original and not very engaging. It's actually down right boring. The only thing worth watching is the performance of Giamatti, which is excellent as usual.
