Review of Dunkirk (2017) by Nicholas P — 01 Jan 2018
The actual story of Dunkirk... incredible. The Christopher Nolan film that attempted to tell the story of Dunkirk...awful.
Tom Hardy, great actor...his character had such minor relevance to the story though...why cast Tom Hardy? He's great, this character...meh. You probably could've casted one of the Hardy boys instead, and no one would've been the wiser and by the way he's wearing a mask the whole time anyway.
The young main character; the guy on the actual cover of the movie, maybe had 14 lines, and I don't even know his name or his relevance to the story for that matter.
I'm sure there's 12 million people out there who loved this movie and Christopher Nolan, but this one was a head scratcher to me.
If you're looking for a good story about Dunkirk, hit the library or even the original movie from 1958.
