Review of Dunkirk (2017) by Mel N — 20 Dec 2017
I love a good WWII film. Dunkirk wasn't exceptionally entertaining nor I think it's suppose to be. There aren't many fancy explosions, or dramatic fighting. What this film is. is a jewel in historical cinema.
It's like a non spoken documentary. Altought (I believe) every character in the film is finctional, the story is portrayed behind their eyes, as someone in that position would have lived and react (and try to escape).
The film is pretty short, just over an hour long, still at times it does drag a little, but that's war, decisive events and a lot of waiting.
