Review of Dunkirk (2017) by Trey B — 07 Nov 2017
Dunkirk is a technical masterpiece that is visually one of Christopher Nolan's best films. Every shot looks amazing and realistic, plus it helps that the movie was shot at the location of the original battle of Dunkirk.
The acting performances were good, though they weren't asked to do much more than react to the events around them. Which is fine until the movie tries to make you feel for the characters involved.
But it's hard to feel for characters who's names you don't know. Not to mention Hans Zimmer's score is great as always. Final note: Oscars noms for best director and cinematography are musts.
