Review of Dunkirk (2017) by Andrew H — 01 Aug 2017
I had high expectations for this film after watching an incredibly gripping trailer, however I was soon disappointed. While some may view the lack of a script a way of making the movie more dramatic, I found that it made me not really care for the characters.
The music was too overpowering and almost siren like, which got on my nerves and drowned out the rest of the sounds. Also, how come Tom Hardy's plane ran out of fuel but managed to glide in the air for what felt like an eternity whilst all the British and French soldiers cheered, all 200 of them.
I know it would be impossible to get between 300-400 thousand extras but couldn't they just use cgi to fill in the desolate background with people.
