Review of Dunkirk (2017) by Steve V — 26 Jul 2017
If you want a movie with great cinematography, great acting and shallow snippets of individual drama with no back story or depth, this show is for you. Give me a hint, throw me a bone, but don't just drop me into the first shot of the first scene with no intro or explanation about what's going on.
And yes, I know it's about WWII! But show us what lead to this terrific moment, please, tell me a story. The most shallow movie I've seen in a long long time. I'm amazed how many reviews loved it.
