Review of Dunkirk (2017) by Grayson W — 28 Jul 2017
3 stars (Generous rating). The cinematography is strong and decent use of showing "multiple" (3) perspectives. [air, land, and sea] Audience is left wanting more as Nolan fails to develop a single characters' story in a manner where any allegiance is developed.
The best portion of this movie is hands down the first 10 minutes, which is then only followed by suspense that never arrives at a true climax and consistent disappointment due to the inability to deliver on expectations.
You're probably better off watching the next movie above or below this when buying your ticket. You can thank me for the time saved.
