Choppy plot. It, mostly, follows 3 timelines. One takes 3 days, one 1 day, the last takes 1 hour. They are interleaved. It doesn't work.
Tension is supposed to build. It doesn't.
Some parts just don't make sense. One ship's compartment is at least 20 feet above the water line, but when the ship is hit the compartment fills with water long before the ship sinks. Also, a boat is used by the Germans for small arms target practice, some bullets hit 2 or 3 feet below the waterline blowing holes in the hull.
Saw it with my adult son. He says he saw a container ship in the background.
