Review of Dunkirk (2017) by Nick B — 15 Aug 2017
The first true Oscar movie of 2017. Dunkirk has a very strong chance of getting nominated for Best Picture and maybe a chance of winning. The entire ensemble cast is absolutely outstanding but the real star is writer-director Christopher Nolan.
Nolan writes a perfect screenplay that is both real and emotionally impactful and directs with the same style. He should definitely receive an Oscar nomination for Best Director. Best movie of 2017 so far.
