Review of Dunkirk (2017) by Ro L — 21 Jul 2017
Dunkirk was such a disappointing movie of an interesting part of history. Main characters' performances were exceptional and there was one well-done scene near the end of the film when the many privately-owned rescue boats appeared near the beach. Otherwise, the movie has been over rated by the critics. A great movie this was not! Story was so fragmented and skipped from the air maneuvers to rescue boats to the beach and quick jumps from daylight to nighttime scenes.
I am guessing that the annoying background music that got louder and louder was to express the tension brewing. It was annoying to me and not necessary.
