A mediocre and disappointing film which makes poor use of an otherwise promising cast, including Thora Birch, Jeremy Irons, and Justin Whalen.

Although the film has some excellent special effects, the poor writing and direction combined with the fact that the producers ran out of money halfway through filming made it one of the worst films of the year 2000. Proof that too much money and attention spent on special effects does not make a good film.
