Review of Dune (2021) by Derfsky — 13 Nov 2021
Great job making the story compelling on film. Much of the appeal of Dune the book is the nuance of the politics and interpersonal relationships and interactions, both of which are difficult to convey on film.
The movie addresses the key politics while conveying the key points of character development without sacrificing story or pace. It is compelling and exciting to watch, but also addresses many of the book's pivotal developments.
Great performances all around.
