Review of Dumplings (2004) by Rhady N — 21 Apr 2010
By taking its time to develop a few of the storylines and experimenting with a different style of editing and music, the result is a larger and eerier version of the short contained in "Three Extremes", with the sense of humor gone in a quite different way. Interesting how both versions function remarkably well, to the point that I don't have a favorite!
Particularly interesting for editing students, since both films come from the same raw material.
