Review of Dumbo (1941) by Dustin G — 10 Jul 2011
This movie has not aged well at all. In fact, I really can't even call it a good movie for its time. The story is weak, the characters are flat, there's a couple touching scenes involving Dumbo's mother but any emotional attachment to the film is quickly undone by the ludicrous drug trip, pink elephants scene, surely a ridiculous scene to anyone but the completely loaded.
Overall I'd have to say this is the worst Disney movie of them all. I can't see this movie having any staying power, once the nostalgia wears off anyway.
