Review of Dumbo (1941) by Curtis H — 09 Jan 2012
A short but fun piece of fluff from the early era of Disney classics. Dumbo a large-eared pariah of a circus elephant teams up with an ambitious mouse. Featuring some of the more racially touchy scenes of the Disney animation cannon, (a brutish song about uneducated roustabouts, and the depiction of crows as an African American stereotype), Dumbo should not be taken too seriously.
That said, it is also delightful.
