(1941) Dumbo.
ANIMATION.
Well known film critic Roger Ebert once said that the best Bond films so far are the first three films, which is Dr,. No, From Russia With Love and then Goldfinger. When asked what`re the best Disney cartoons he remarked the first three Disney cartoons which`re Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs, Pinnochio and then Dumbo! For me personally, Dumbo is better than the first two because the idea is original (unlike Snow White coming from Brothers Grimm fairy tale) and does not demand a mature mind to understand it`s complicated situations which is what Pinocchio requires!
This is a very delicate and brilliant idea for a story by using animals as the main characters other than people, and a mouse to guide Dumbo for acceptance as a mutant, who didn`t know it could fly! Their are so many brilliant layers and influences which was used as bases for other Disney cartoons and movies that came after it, such as the brilliant pink elephants scene which might`ve set the tone for Disney`s Fantasia, and films about the acceptance of being physically indifferent should be something anyone is capable to understand and they`re alot of films about those, in my opinion this one was one of the earliest that I can remember!
4 out of 4.
