I think that people are being too harsh on this movie. Sure, it never could and never will outdo the original, but come on it's not THAT bad. I saw this movie as a kid when my friend had me watch it.

This was before I actually saw Dumb and Dumber, so that probably had a lot to do with me liking it. At first, I didn't get all the inside jokes from the first one. I knew it was a prequel but I was watching it as a stand alone movie and thought it was hilarious.

Afterwards, I got a chance to see Dumb and Dumber and got all the inside jokes. It made me appreciate Dumb and Dumberer even more. Sure, the jokes were more immature and kind of less adult in this movie but they're entertaining enough.

Okay, so Eric Christian Olsen and Derek Richardson are no Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels, but they did a damn decent job. Eric's Impression of Carrey is pretty much spot on. Some people actually thought he WAS Carrey at first, until eventually realizing he wasn't.

There's a lot of supporting roles and cameos by some other big time actors too. I think out of all the sequels/prequels made to Jim Carrey movies, this is definitely the best one by far. I would say give Dumb and Dumberer a chance.

If you've seen the original and love it, you probably won't dig this movie. But if not, give it a watch. It's entertaining as hell even if it couldn't top the original.
