Since I saw this when I was young and hadn't seen Dumb and Dumber yet, I actually quite enjoyed this film. Watching later, I could see weaknesses in the film, except of Eric Christian Olsen who actually did a really good job stepping into Jim Carrey's shoes.
The best thing to do is to watch this first so it isn't a downplay from the original, but rather to set you up for the comic masterpiece that is Dumb and Dumber. If you still don't like it, still check out Dumb and Dumber.
