Review of Dumb and Dumber To (2014) by Ian B — 07 Feb 2015

I wanted to like this movie. I really, REALLY did. Unfortunately the Farrelly brothers made that impossible by taking every element that worked the first time around and doing the exact opposite for the sequel.

Harry and Lloyd are no longer kindhearted dimwits, but mean-spirited assholes. The slapstick comedy and one liners have been replaced by raunchy, shock value bullsh*t. Yes, the first one was extremely stupid?but at least it was entertaining and funny.

I guess lightening rarely does strike twice. The writing is lazy, the jokes don't work, the movie looks extremely cheap?needless to say this was one of the most painfully unfunny movie experiences of my life.

I turned it off around the 60 minute mark. I feel horrible for those who had to suffer even longer.
