Review of Dumb and Dumber To (2014) by Ian G — 18 Feb 2015
It has been long rumoured that a sequel was in the pipeline for Dumb and Dumber as it was one of the break out hits for Jim Carrey way back in the day and also for Jeff Daniels who was more well known as a good foil, not that it has been finally made, its almost like an act of desparation for Carrey since the closest thing he has had for a hit, being Kick Ass 2 a film for which he has disowned for its violence quotient.
The Farrelly Brother humour, especially for this series, is just the typical dumb, clueless humour that is very much a part of the early 90's that hasn't aged too well as all and provided only maybe one or two true moments of a chuckle, but I have to give both Daniels and Carrey kudos to their commitment to characters they clearly love.
If only if was just fondly looking back. Best forgotten.
