Review of Dumb and Dumber (1994) by Stephen E — 23 Jun 2012
In the world of comedy, there are two things I try to avoid: low-brow humor and the Farrelly brothers. "Dumb and Dumber" belongs under both of these categories, yet it never fails to me make laugh.
I guess my reason for liking it is less because of the material put forth by its creators and more because of the likable performances given by Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels, who are still funny when the jokes aren't.
Normally, I have a pretty sophisticated sense of humor, but when it comes right down to it, "Dumb and Dumber" is just good, mindless entertainment.
