Review of Dumb and Dumber (1994) by Matt M — 31 Jan 2013
Here, two dimwits named Harry and Lloyd get on a road trip to Aspen to meet a woman who one of them believes to be in love with. However, without noticing, they become entangled in a dangerous kidnapping and blackmail game.
Quite possibly, or rather quite easily, the best thing the Farrelly Brithers ever made. Here, the Laurel and Hardy-like storyline works to perfection, and apart from the film being a goofy and whacky rollercoaster ride, it is also one of the most genuinely funny returns to the slapstick comedy genre since its golden age in the earlier part of the twentieth century.
Carrey and Daniels make an ace comedy duo.
